Recent Incidents

February 18, 2026 — QPU Cluster Zurich: Scheduled Maintenance

Duration: 02:00 – 04:30 UTC (2.5 hours)
Impact: QPU Block ZH-03 unavailable during cryogenic system calibration. Jobs were automatically rerouted to ZH-01, ZH-02, and ZH-04. No customer-facing impact for users on automatic device selection.
Status: Resolved — maintenance completed successfully, all blocks returned to service.

January 29, 2026 — API Gateway: Elevated Latency

Duration: 14:22 – 14:47 UTC (25 minutes)
Impact: API response times increased to p99 of 380ms (normal: ~42ms) due to a configuration deployment that triggered excessive TLS handshake renegotiation. No requests were dropped; all jobs continued to process normally.
Status: Resolved — configuration rolled back, root cause addressed in subsequent deployment.

December 12, 2025 — Hybrid HPC: Partial Degradation

Duration: 08:15 – 09:02 UTC (47 minutes)
Impact: 12 of 48 classical compute nodes in the US East region became unresponsive due to a firmware update failure. Hybrid workflows using those nodes experienced increased queue times. Pure QPU jobs were unaffected.
Status: Resolved — nodes rebooted with corrected firmware, all capacity restored.

Scheduled Maintenance

Upcoming planned maintenance windows:

  • March 15, 2026 — 02:00–05:00 UTC — QPU Block US-E-02 cryogenic cycle maintenance. Automatic job rerouting will be enabled.
  • March 22, 2026 — 01:00–02:00 UTC — API Gateway certificate rotation. No expected downtime; brief increase in latency possible during rollover.
